UNLV SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED BY PRESIDENT OF LAURICH PROPERTIES

(Las Vegas, NV) - One local developer is giving real estate students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas the opportunity for a free education.

Hank Gordon, president of Laurich Properties, has established the Hank Gordon Real Estate Scholarship. The recipient of the scholarship will receive $5,000 annually to be applied to his or her tuition and books. The first Hank Gordon Real Estate Scholarship will be awarded during the Fall semester of 1999.

"This scholarship is an opportunity to help students achieve their education and professional goals and to give something back to the community that has been very good to me," said Hank Gordon, president of Laurich Properties, who has more than 40 years of experience in the commercial and residential real estate business. "More students need to be recognized for their hard work, and I hope that the Hank Gordon Real Estate Scholarship gives them the incentive to continue their education and development in real estate studies."

The scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time student who has a minimum 2.75 grade point average; holds a sophomore, junior or senior standing at the time the scholarship is awarded; is a Nevada resident; and is a student in the UNLV College of Business with a real-estate major.

The UNLV College of Business Scholarship Committee will select candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for the scholarship.
